4th Generation Gen 4 5-speed/v6 trans. capacity

Hello to all.
My question is I've recently replaced the fluid in my 99 camry transmission (5-speed)/v6 and had a difficult time finding consistent answers to how many quarts of oil it held. I don't have the owner's manual anymore, Napa and Autozone weren't real sure and one told me 4.5 quarts, and the other 3.4 quarts, and Toyota dealership said it's 2.8 quarts. What gives?
I drained it and from keeping an eye on it, it seemed to be around 2.8 - 3.0 quarts. I re-filled it to approx 2.8-2.9 quarts and ran out of gear oil and lowered the car, etc. and forget to finger check. I've been driving it and seems to be shifting good or better (replaced with Mobil 1 syn. 75/90) than before. If anyone has that setup in a Gen 4 with v6/5-speed and has a owners manual, or knows it's 2.8 or otherwise, please let me know. Damn this was long, sorry.
Thanks,
Ryan

around 3.8 quarts

So after not getting a straight answer from two Toyota dealerships, Napa stores, Autozone, many people kind of unsure of what the fluid capacity for a manual transmission paired to a v6 camry, 1999. I just filled until it started coming out of the hole, and then plugged. It's approx 3.8-4.0 quarts on 75-90 gear oil. Hope this helps anyone with this setup on their camry as you will find it very frustrating to get a straight answer as many people are unsure.
