Last weekend I changed my mom's oil and noticed the coolant reservoir was empty, again. I had just refilled it last month. I looked more closely and the radiator was leaking along the top and at the point where the hose connects to it. I'm not sure just how low the coolant was but it seemed to be leaking fairly quickly. Got it replaced the following day at a shop called LXS Hawaii which has gotten good reviews; they specialize in Toyota/Lexus.
There was a vibration @ 1.4K RPM as the car warmed up which has disappeared, and I feel like the AC gets colder than before and the car has more power. Not sure if those could have been caused by low coolant or if it's just my imagination
Anyway, the car was built and first registered 1/95 - the original radiator lasted almost 16 years! I'm thankful that I caught the leaky radiator before the car overheated due to having low or no coolant.
I also had them check the motor mounts because I replaced the shredded dog bone mount two years ago and a couple TN'ers told me that was stupid w/o replacing the front and rear ones. The guy at the shop basically said the same thing. They put the car on lifts and said the mounts are actually fine, which I expected because the dog bone mount still looks good as new and the car near silent and vibration-free at idle.
My mom is looking forward to many more years w/ her Camry.. It only has 89K miles so I'm sure it'll last. I hope my own Camry is just as reliable

- it's at 42.5K miles.
