Sunroof/water leak

I wonder what's the best way to weatherproof my sunroof in Camry 96, without redoing entire seal. There's been a water leak that intensified and is pretty bad now, my driver's seat gets flooded, from a tiny deteriorated spot in the seal. I used a layer of clear sealant on top 3 years ago, but it continued to leak more and more. That wasn't specifically a windshield type of sealer, more like a liquid gasket stuff that made a thick layer. What's the best material to use to seal that leak out?

In order to FIX it you have to FIX it... if that makes sense. Just spend the money on the seal and get it replaced instead of spending money on 2930920930 tubes of sealant.

I don't have $100 to replace the sunroof right now, and one tube of sealant should cover entire area easily. I'm just wondering about the type of sealant that's the best.
As to the drainage... I don't have a repair manual and I'm not familiar with the location of the drainage in the roof; I never even opened this sunroof before as I got the car with a leak already and the former owner advised not to open sunroof to avoid making the leak worse.

I guess you'll just have to locate where the drain tubes come out and see if they're blocked at the ends. They probably run down the roof pillars and come out behind the wheel wells. A mud wasp blocked one of mine off (other car) once and created a heck of a leak.

Ok, thanks: I'll start with checking the drainage before trying to reseal it.

Roof should NEVER leak even when not sealed tight

Roof should NEVER leak even when not sealed tight

For example:
Sometimes mine won't close UP all the way and there will be a tiny gap at the rear and after DOWN POUR= NO LEAKS INSIDE.
WHY? ... because the 92 and after camry's have 1 drain tube on each side that runs down the headliner into the sides of the trunk and out the bottom of the wheel well behind the tire.
The only other way it can leak is if you have the same problem as mine and you park the car on a STEEP DOWNHILL GRADE... then it can't drain back until it levels out or overflows onto your seat

I had a wasp clog mine too except a nice little shot of air FROM THE BOTTOM up through the hose unplugged it.

Make sure if you unplug it that you go up top when the roof is open and remove the plug you just blew up so it wont fall back down and plug it again. remove all other leaves and dirt as this can replug it too.
