Camry Power Window Problem

Hi all
I have Camry 98, V6 with about 145 K mileage.

My driver side power window has some problems namely, it resists to close fully and stops in the middle. The window just stopped in the middle while I was trying to close it.
But if I wait for like 15-20 mins and try again, it goes up.

What would be the reason? Is that power window motor has problem? All other windows open and close fine though.

Thanks always for advice!

(P.S: will it be a costly fix? How much should a mechanic charge usually for that fix?)

Could be your window motor going bad/overheating. I've had them replaced for $125 before at a shop. I have done it myself the last couple of times and the part cost me $20 at the junkyard. Fairly straight-forward to replace it yourself, there are threads in the DIY section.

I had the same problem with my 2000 Camry especially in the Summer time when the weather was warm. I bought a new motor/regulator from Advance Auto for about $65 and installed it myself. They have several different motors at different prices but this one has a lifetime warranty. I would think there is a post on here with exact instructions. I googled it and found a color photo that someone had posted that even pointed out what screws to remove. I didn't have any problems and it works great. It is a little tight getting your hands in there though.
