The Free Mod Series: Part VIII Electronic Transmission Controller

Exactly as the title says. I really wish i could find my glasses to fully read it and do the research. but could this possibly be the start of a sequential shifter if taking furter then it already has been? in terms of a custom shifter install and any of the sorts? would like to have some vet imput. No flaming please

yes i know already "this is a complete waste of time and money" "why not just buy a car with it already" Well sorry but i like being different and this thread kind of opened my eye to somthing new.

so would i be able to rig up some type of shifter to adapt to it? if thats the case? And i FOUND! my glasses! after 2 weeks so i can finally truely read all this tonight haha

Yep. Pretty easily. Maybe with some circuit modification... but it's doable.

IPT or TPI, some place makes one of thoes. Its very expensive but is the same basic thing. this is a cool idea, but not very useful. you not able to perform anything with this device you cant do with your stock shifter. we have 4 speeds (TC lock doesnt count); 1, 2, D (O/D off), D (O/D on) and it just so happens thats how many points we have through the shifter. if you want to control your transmission, get a reworked vavle body and shift manualy. or get a manual tranny.

personally, on teh v6 at least, the PWR takes about as much advantage of this tranny as anything else can. it maks down shifts faster and more sensative and holds RPMs to a more optimal shift point. the only thing i wish it did was have MOAR gears and shift faster.

yeah im in the process of piecing together a manual swap currently but saw this and thought it would be a fun little toy to play with until i get all the pieces.
