Submerged Tailpipe - Problem?

Hello all,
After towing the boat with my wagon for a couple of months, I found a small issue....
The launch ramp I've been going to lately has a ramp that is not very steep forcing me to back far down. Last time I dipped the tailpipes. It ran fine but there was some steam coming out of the pipes.

Are there any problems (beyond the obvious possible rust issues) with submerging tailpipes?

As far as solutions, I was thinking of those tips that angle up or maybe re-route them to the side of the bumper...?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know, but I would image that as long as you don't submerge the entire exhaust system up to the engine, the only problem would be water in the muffler and pipes causing rust.

its fine, your engine is creating far more pressure then the pressure of the water so it will jsut bubble and steam. now if it is salt water, it will corrode it faster. just dont shut off your motor, the engine doesnt like having to push water out of the exhaust.

since it is salt water, i assume you give your trailer and boat a quick spray down after use. jsut hit the submerged parts of the car while your at it. youll be amazed how fast salt water will eat away your car.
