Crankshaft pulley install; Help pls

95 Camry 5SFE. There are a number of threads that discuss removing the crankshaft pulley; but, has anyone had any trouble installing a crankshaft pulley? Mine came off with a pulley puller; no problem. Trouble is it doesn't want to cooperate with sliding back on.

I've aligned the key, I've tried grease and I've tried heating it in the oven (expansion).

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

I bet the lip either on the crank side or the pulley itself probably has a lip on it. You could try grinding just the edge of the crankshaft pulley (input side) and see if it slides over easier. mine did that too and grinding the outside edge allowed it to slide up onto the crank shaft. (use a Die-Grinder not a huge grinder. lol ) .. And yes, some crank pulleys are really hard to get back on. On my 95, it slips on and off with no problem , but my 92 and 93 they were really hard to get back on until I used a die-grinder

Mine was always a little tough to get back on. Just align it and gently hit it with the back of a hammer. Or even a mallet.

Thanks to you both; I got it. A little cleanup, a little more persuasion and I was able to tap in on.
