my camry feel like its going to stall/no power....

i have a 1992 camry and a few things i noticed are going wrong...
1) major loss of power
2)when i step on the gas the needle on the mph and rpm gauges take a little bit of time to start moving..
3)also when i step on the gas i feel like the car is going to just stall and die.

#3 doesnt happen all the time..maybe about every other day i drive or every couple days..

i just got the alternater replaced and the battery has been in the car since i got it almost 5 years ago...the green light is fading on the battery but i can still see a good amount left green.....

Could be a quite a bit of things. I would start with the easy things and try to clean out your EGR valve.

I would look into checking the MAP sensor. If a map sensor isnt hooked up properly you will be running very rich. We discussed this in an earlier topic. (Black Smoke out the exhaust)

If the map sensor checks out, I would check your system for vacuum Leaks

Grab yourself a 6oz can of sea foam and spray the entire bottle in your intake holding the throttle at 2000 rpms. After that, let it drop back down to idle and turn the car off. Let it sit for 5 minutes, and then start it back up and drive it aggressively to remove any excess carbon build up.

If everything checks out, I would check the spark system. Could be something as simple as a dirty spark plug.

If all your plugs are clean, make sure the wires are good. Check the gap between each plug to confirm they are within factory spec. Look for signs of pre-ignition.

Pull the cap off the distributor and check the condition of the cap pickups and rotor.

If you haven't preformed a tune-up in a while (Spark plugs, wires, air filter, etc..) I would do so anyhow
