P0446 because of loose hose

I have a 2000 toyota camry .Had got P0446 OBD code few months back.Did some research and hubby decided to give it a shot by replacing VSV.Yesterday when he crawled down the car to replace VSV,he found a loose hose. After tightening it ,he checked after running 3 miles whether pressure is creating in fuel tank, but it didn't . So is the problem fixed for P0446.How long does it take for pressure to build up in fuel tank ??

to TN! Well, you need to reset the check engine light. Remove the negative cable on the battery for a few minutes... then reconnect it. Take the car for a drive. If the light comes back on, you still have an issue!

Great! I wouldn't worry about it unless the check engine light comes back on again. Anyways, i'm not entirely sure how long it takes. I did do some quick reading on how the system works. To my understanding from what I read the system checks for pressure every time you start the car and it only takes a few seconds. Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm.

The TRAC OFF light shouldn't be illuminated unless you press the trac off button. I'm not sure what can cause that issue though.

Check the DIY sticky on the main page for threads related to the P0446. Also search "P0446" and see what others have done to remedy the problem.
