Thumbs up Gen 4 Wheel Question

To all the wheel experts...

I'm wanting to put 18s on my 2000 Camry and I'm looking for the flush to the fender look. The wheels I have found come in 18x8.5 in 35 or 48 offset. Which offset will give the flush look on that model year? Will 8.5 even work as far as strut clearance goes? Eventually I would aslo like to drop it about an inch nothing more than that though.

Thanks for any insight...

I've got 18 X 8.5 with 45 offset with no rub and it looks pretty flush in the front, but I would say get a lower offset and spacers.

Spacers are out for me...they cause a change to the load on the wheel bearing/hub and I'm not down for that. I've heard and read about what that can and will do to a vehicle and the risks just aren't worth it to me. I'll keep researching until I find exactly what I need to get me what I want.

Thanks for the input though...

Looks good.

My thinking is...the 35 offset will be pretty damn close to flush then and the 8.5 wheel width shouldn't cause any rubbing issues with the strut. Dropping 1 inch may be as much as I could go...which is all I'd want anyway...before there was fender clearance issues.
