3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
This is mostly a quick story rather than a question, but there's a brand of radiator I'm trying to remember. It was about ~$100 shipped on eBay. I think it started with a K? It's supposed to be a good brand. What is it?
So my radiator is leaking now... around the top where the metal meets the plastic. I've had it for about three years and roughly 150-180,000 miles. This was a crappy Pep Boy's house brand radiator, afaik. I think I got pretty good use out of it?
I've noticed that the leak has reduced the pressure of the cooling system, and thus, the engine is running hotter than it should be.

Go to rockauto.com and buy TYC radiator. They will send you Koyorad. And even if they send you TYC - it is the same good quality. It is less than $100 there. Use 40555572253617 discount code to get additional 5% off.

Does your Pep Boys radiator carry lifetime warranty? I know NAPA and Autozone's do.
So you might want to get the Autozone (Spectra Premium) for $99.99 + tax and easy return should it give you problems again.
Also replace the radiator cap and thermostat/gasket with each radiator. I'd use only OEM thermostat (Kuzeh brand?).

This Koyo Radiator Company is an aftermarket company that makes only the radiators. The Koyo bearing you're using is made by Koyo Seiko, a different company. I don't know why companies in Japan are allowed to have similar names. And yes, they now bought US Timken's needle bearing business.
The OEM radiators are Denso and GM Harrison. Yes, GM also makes AC heat exchangers for some Toyotas.
