3rd Generation General Maintenance -- Factory Alarm Battery Change

Well my 95 camry Factory alarm remote has been getting weak, and I have to get closer and closer to the car for it to unlock my doors. I decided to pull apart the remote and change the batteries on both remotes today

Very simple process.

Tools needed:
1. Small phillips head screw driver
2. (1) or (2) CR2025 3v batteries

Flip your remote over and you will see a small screw towards the top. Remove that screw.

Pull the case apart

Pull your Old battery out

Replace with a new CR2025 battery

reinstall in reverse order

Most people know how to do this, but this is just general maintenance for those folks who might not know how to do this

If you want to get really detailed, Pull the entire remote apart and clean it good

Pull the circuit board out of the remote:

Using an eraser on a pencil, clean the contacts of the remote off. After cleaning, pull the contacts you just cleaned up in the air so they have more pressure against the battery

Note: Make sure not to pull too much or you can risk breaking your contacts off!

Re-install the cover and check to make sure the remote works. If so, re-assemble. If not, flip the battery over! lol
