I know this is a stupid question but:

Going to be messing around with my car today, disconnecting the negative battery cable, anything I should know before doing it?

I know the radio resets (well I have a new aftermarket one), the clock too....

I also have an alarm in my GEN4 CAMRY so if that matters, it's the OEM one.

Tried searching, got weird threads.

When you reconnect it, the alarm will go off. You should have a valet button in the coin tray. I THINK you hold that for ten seconds, let it go, turn the key on and off 3 times and then it should be reset.

That's how it works on my Gen 3, anyway.

I'll take a look in the manual, I don't want my alarm going off and being screamed at by the neighbor again..

Tell your neighbor to call the cops if he has a problem. Anyways, see if any of this helps you.

Well after reading the manual, it seems that all I have to do is disarm it after it goes off, whether it's putting the key in an going from ON -> ACC -> ON...or could I just use the keyless entry top button?

Anyways I found out I need a new battery as my start doesn't work unless I'm like 5-10 ft and apparently it has a 50 ft range...
