96 Camry Trade Question...

Hey guys...

So quick update. I have two camry's one 95 2 door coupe in 5 speed, one 96 camry in automatic. I found a guy looking to trade for my 96 camry...here is what is layed out...wanna see if I am getting a good deal.

Mine is a 96 camry, 4 door sedan, beige, 20 % tint, loaded, pure stock, leather, sunroof, kenwood cd/mp3 deck, great condition, 5sfe 4 cyl, and has 246, 000km on it (about 150,000 miles)

I am looking to trade a guy who says he will take my camry. He has had this car for 6 months and driven it for 30k km with no issues at all.

95 Maxima V6
5 speed manual
loaded, leather, sunroof, heated seats...basically as loaded as my camry
here's the kicker. He put in a DVD screen alpine system with 2 12 inch JBL subs in the trunk 2 months ago. He will include this with the car too

So I'm thinking simply for the brake upgrade (camry has drums, 95 has 4 wheel disc), the audio system and the fact that his has practically the same mileage as mine (252,000)...and it's 5 speed which i love

What do you guys think...good trade for me?!!

I will still have my 95 camry coupe in 5 speed which I think i will keep forever!!!!

take it to a reputable repair shop and have them check it out for you before you buy it. Also check the carfax on the car. Sounds like a good deal, but when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

That car may have issues that are not noticeable right away. Taking it to a shop and having them check Everything will only cost you a few bucks and save you a headache!

Someone going from a V6 to a 4Cyl. sounds a little off to me... It sounds like a good deal on paper, but like I said without actually checking it out you may be throwing money at it within a couple months. Bringing it to the shop will allow you to lift it above your head and check for leaks around the motor, Condition of the tires / undercarriage, etc..

Have it checked out, like already mentioned. Nissan started to cheapen out the Maxima starting in the 95 Model year. If I'm correct this was the first year that the Maxima was redesigned. Google Maximas from this generation to see how many complaints have been lodged against it.
