Have you tried removing the negative terminal from the battery for 2-3 minutes?

I disconnected the whole battery but it did not do anything. Do you know if I only needed to disconnect the negative or is there something else I can do?
EDIT: There's a manual way to do it... if you search around.
You need to disconnect it for about 2 minutes. The airbag system as a power backup that lasts for 90 seconds... aka the bag can still blow for 90 seconds after you pull the battery.

if the light doesn't go off after disconnecting negative battery terminal for a few minutes, then it means one of sensors has an open circuit (disconnected or wire is cut).

Dealer has to reset the light. If the battery has been disconnect for more than a brief period. It will disable the airbags.
Wrong. You can jumper pins in the diagnostic ports with a paper clip. Similar to the way you'd read OBDI codes.

what do you mean?
I have left battery disconnected on my 00 solara i4 for a week (while waiting for fuel injectors cleaning service) and it seems to be working fine (Air bag light comes up at start and goes off then normally).
I have left battery disconnected on my 02 solara v6 for nearly a month while working on wiring issues. same story after fixing wires the Air bag light properly now comes up at IGN ON and then goes off. and have to add that Air bag light was staying ON all the time BEFORE I fixed the wiring harness (cut wire).
I don't understand what you are talking about.

long time ago i've tried to change the D indicator light on dash, when i was done, without hooking the rest of the two connection, i turn the key to ignition just to see the D light is working, that tripped the airbag light on dash to turn on, and remain on after the engine started, had to go to stealership, paid $30 for them to turn off the airbag light. they use some handheld tool under the steering wheel to reset the airbag light.
so now i always remember, do not insert key in ignition hole until i reconnect all wiring at dash console.
also, echo to what feninuxs said, i have my battery remove from my other vehicle for months due to repair and then reinstalled battery back, airbag light won't trip because of just that.

The dealer has a fancy tool. But the FSM says you can cheat it buy shoving paperclips into some of th diagnostic ports.

The airbag computer has permanent memory, so depending on the code, disconnecting power will not clear the code no matter how long the battery is disconnected. I has a b!tch of a time resetting my light, which is why I resorted to making that switch gadget. But it can be done with just wires, do the sequence very quickly! And keep trying, eventually you'll get it to reset. BTW, you don't have to turn the ignition off and back on on every attempt, just keep trying over and over again.
Well right but I guess they're are also methods..just going by what I read in the repair manual sometime ago
.
The FSM lists both options. See the links I posted.
