In the US the Gen4 specified oils are 5W-30 and 10W-30. I'd say
Motorcraft Synthetic Blend 10W-30 should work fine. We find these at the local Walmart at about the same price as the "dino" oils.
Dealers here sometimes sell 10W-40 for "older" engines. However, I'd use
Valvoline MaxLife 10W-30 instead.
If a xW-40 weight is specified in your area, or if your engine is consuming oil, then
Mobil-1 0W-40 would be an excellent synthetic oil to use.
Use a good filter, like
Purolator PureOne.

I wouldn't use the AC UltraGuard even if it has less differential pressure. I don't think it filters very well.
