Australia Can't open my remote - any ideas?

Hi everyone,

The button on my remote has worn away, so I bought a new silicone button to replace it with. However, I can't get the stupid thing open! I've had a look all over the internet and everybody just keeps saying "it opens like a clam" and to wedge something into the seam. I have tried this and it still won't open. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate the help, I'm really stuck on this one and it's very frustrating!! The remote looks like this

Thanks

Pry harder. They all come apart that way. Don't worry, you won't break it. I use a knife sometimes because of the sharper edge but just make sure you used the blade and NOT the point or you will leave a mark.

Make sure you've taken it OFF the key ring. Try gently prying from the end where the key ring attaches.
