3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
yea its ok. just fix ur suspension when u have the money. nothing serious. its a bushing. try sprayin some wd40 on the parts u think might be the problem and see if it goes away. if it does then u kno wat to get new
Uh, I respectfully disagree. We don't know where the squeak is coming from. There isn't enough info here to automatically point at the suspension as the issue, let alone tell someone to buy parts. Now, is it coming from a corner of the vehicle? Can you describe the squeak? WD40 might work, but I don't think thats exactly an approved diagnostic technique. Plus, WD40 ATTRACTS dirt.

tru. but 75% of the time its a suspension part and wd40 is only for the mean time to find out where its comming from. its common sense to wash it off with some degreaser and water or brake cleaner .

You HOPE so.

Don't use WD40 on rubber parts!!!!! Use silicone spray instead to find a squeak. The noise could also be coming from the braking components.
^Yap. Anything petroleum based destroys rubber.

To be quite honest I have no idea how to find out where the squeak is coming from, I just know it's when my car goes over some sort of a bump.
Squeak sounds like...a creaky door.
86.777% of gen4 camrys do this.
I see it happen everyday. Its the front struts and mounts. I wouldn't worry about it if money is an issue/ you dont wanna dump the money into the car like me.

if its the front struts making the noise, my mechanics tightened up the middle bolt and the sound went away for a while but eventually came back so it's the mount and bearing.
