Low beam headlight not working, but not bulb.

First of all thanks for having me, and sorry if any of this sounds noobish :/

I own a '95 Camry Vienta (V6) and a while back I got my car serviced, the only problem they found was that the high beam bulb was blown on the left side. After replacing it the high beams worked great, but I noticed that the low beam (or normal beam, sorry for being a noob) on the left side no longer worked. I should have gone back to the mechanic but I got really lazy, and busy.

I thought it was just the low beam bulb that would need replacing, but i noticed that the bulb works when I have high beam on, but not with low beam, which really makes me think that something funny has gone wrong with the wiring. Im very competent with electronics and electrical circuits as Im studying electronic engineering, it's just that Ive never tried to work on a car before.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Cheers.

I have checked the fuses, Ill double check soon.

The low beam and high beam are two different bulbs.

Unplug bulb, replug it in. See if that solves the problem. If it doesn't, swap the low beam bulbs (put the right bulb in the left and the left bulb in the right). That'll rule out a bulb problem and point at the wiring. Try that and let us know.

check fuses and relays (all marked HEAD will be one you need to check), also there should be one or two fusible blocks (square "fuses" with transparent top) and take a look at bulb electrical connector and wiring, something might be cracked or cut open and what's worse shorting the circuit, but make sure fuses are good first.

when you check all fuses and relays for headlights and still no go then problem might be more wiring related e.g. shorted wire or bad ground point behind dash in cabin (driver side at cowl area and driver side at center console area are ones used by head lights).

last thing might be a faulty Integration Relay or Light Control Switch at steering wheel.

So it was the head relay, I simply pulled off the cap and fiddled with the switch, it must have been a little too pushed out for the electromag to pull it back in again.

Thanks for all the help guys!
