There might be a obd2 port behind the coin holder on the dash.

Fail. Not that the autozone tech knows this, but... OBDII specs say that the port has to be within X distance of the steering wheel. It DOESN'T say that the port has to be under the dash board.... but it USUALLY is. Anyways, in a 96+ 4cyl and in 94+ V6 camrys, it's behind the coin tray to the left of the steering wheel. Remove the coin drawer, and it's RIGHT there next to the fuses.

Before I had access to my factory scan tool, I would always argue with them that my 94 is obd2 and they never believed me until I showed them.

Not only is it OBDII, it's FULLY OBDII compliant. The camry may be the ONLY pre-1996 car that was fully compliant.

In case you're wondering, the oval is actually DLC2 for the ABS and other sub-systems. The dash harness I bought for my MR2 swap had the oval DLC2, but I didn't need it because I don't even have ABS.
