Should I buy this ?

V6, Black leather, Four Disc (ABS), Sunroof, Auto..

Interior looks fine.. not too bad. Body is in good shape no dents, but its does have marks and rust here and there... nothing a little TLC cant take care of. Sunroof works but the its window has a crack running across it. I haven't driven the car yet.. plan on doing so.

Asking price.. 1700.. but I'm sure I can bring it down once I drive it and get into detail about the issue.. one thing I noticed when put in gear is that the engine jumps/move.. engine mounts .. so thats some $ off already.

Should I go for it ? I have maybe until money the latest.

Nope. Sunroof is the reason. If it needs repair it is going to cost big bucks unless you can do it yourself

I used the sunroof... its works fine nothing wrong with it just the glass has a crack. All the motors work n it tilts and slides fine. It cant be serious because the car sits outside and it has rained and there is no sign of leak anywhere.. the headliner/roof of the car is very clean.

i would buy it. $1700.00 is reasonable for a used camry with V6 Loaded.

I would pay $1400.00 at the highest for that.

Looks really nice. Pull the oil cap off before you buy it and inspect the cap for Sludge before getting it.

I would bring it to a shop and have them lift it up so you can inspect the undercarriage before getting it too

from pictures it looks nice though

Have him go with you to get it checked out. Just tell him you want to make sure there is nothing underneath that's wrong. While its in the air you can check the tires, wheel bearings, look for underlying leaks, etc.. Gives you a way better look at the underside rather than just peaking under the car on the road of wherever.

Pull the oil cap off and look in the middle of the O on the oil cap (Center). Also, with the motor off while the cap is off, reach your finger inside the valve cover and feel around for sludge (underside of valve cover and if you can reach down towards the head feel there too .. then just inspect your finger for large deposits). It will just be real thick crappy stuff built up inside the valve cover. It will give you a good indication if the oil was changed regularly and what problems you could be looking forward to.

I'm sure if the dudes legit he will be happy to take it to a shop to check it out. Make sure to inspect the filler tube, Undersides of rockers, Back side of the motor, Bushings, etc..

Nice ! Gave me alot of reason for him to drop the price lol

My only issue with the car is that its white... bit too loud for me. My current Camry is dark green. I dont like the fact its auto either.. but I've seen swaps done for a manual trans so im not worried about that.

But like I said before.. I didn't drive the car but I started it up and change gears.. the engine moves and jumps to the point its very noticeable.. engine mounts..

When turned the key.. car takes a bit long to turn over/on.. starter maybe? On my camry as soon as I turn the car the car starts instantly

You could always paint the car if you don't like white

If the motor cranks over while the ignition is in the start position, the starters probably alright.

It could be a problem related the fuel delivery or spark (Tune up.. fuel cleaner, etc..). Or the ignition timing could be off due to a stretching belt.

From hearing whats going on with this car, it sounds like there's a lot of little things that are wrong with it..

I would definitely bring it to a shop before purchasing it

Have them run a diagnostic check on it as well, and give you a list of everything it will need. May cost you $20-$30.00

Thanks for letting me now.... no wonder I changed the motor mounts so much in my 92 LE..

Where is the service bulletin ? It would be awesome if Toyota gave us new updated mounts that we can buy... something like a recall.. no ?

Changing motor mounts aren't too bad on v6, but a hydraulic filled motor mount can be pricey. Most of the time it's the upper torque strut mount that go bad a lot, aka "Dogbone".

Btw, check if it been in an accident. Bodylines and gaps, non-OEM lights, very odd tire wear, heavy steering pull, fresh paint or primer, ect. are sign off pervious accident (but not always)

Also for anyone esle, if the car smell bad, leave. There was spilled milk in the trunk of my Grandmother's Gen 5 and it still smell the same after 3 years. All the OxyClean, steam clean, febreze, little trees, vinegar, baking soda, limon juice, garden hose, ect can't get it out.
