3rd Generation 9005 to 9006

Is there any danger to using the higher watt 9006 in the gen 3 camry headlights? I've read on here that they are made to take 65 watt but I want to make sure. Thanks!

Don't use anything more than 65w.. 100w will burn your wires after awhile. People use 9005 bulbs in 9006 so get those extra 10w lumens of light.. not the other way around, meaning no reason to convert 9006 to 9005.. you'll lose 10w lumens.

I am running 9005 3200k on my low beams no problem. (Originally 9006).

The only thing you want to keep in mind, if you run HID you will need some sort of Canbus to prevent flickering.

I've never heard of anyone having problems putting in whatever lights they want in a vehicle. The only thing you want to make sure you do is to completely plug the harness plug onto the bulb. If its part way on, it will create a ton of resistance and your harness plug will melt.

Resistance = heat
