Tranny flush....OH NOOOO

I did sumthin stupid. I decided to have my tranny flushed at a mom&pop shop. To make a long story short the pressure of the powerflush machine must have been too much for the older seals and now I have a leaking tranny. (not a drop from the tranny ever...then flush....next day leaks)The leak is coming from between the motor and tranny. I own a 2000 4 cyl auto with 140K.
Just sayin don't ever get the power flush done. 600 bucks to replace the damm seal!!!

Talk about a kick in the nads. That sucks

Service Manual never recommends about flushing anything. It's always better not to, and just stick to replacing fluids at every interval. Hope it all works out bradah!

That's why no power flushes (I'm surprised these machines are even around). Today shops really do "fluid exchanges" through the cooler line.

Yeah on my tranny, I really want to flush it out, but I'm scared so I'm just going to drain and fill, drain and fill, drain and fill over a few K miles interval.

I just did a trans filter on my sisters Altima and with new fluid, clean magnets, new filter, that thing shifts like...well I don't know what to reference that shifts very well, but it is so nice.

That's the way I would do it!

But that just sucks bro, you try to do the right thing and it bites ya in the butt

And ditto on keeping the driveway clean. ATF oil is a biiich to clean off

Don't blame the mom and pop shop for this. Blame the POWER FLUSHER. Keep going to them if they're a good shop!

Many of my friends say a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix heap stop their leaks. I haven't got a leak so I don't know how good they are . You can give it a try.
