3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
14" steelie is 17.3 lbs - but my Camry is a 1996 model - I would guess that there were little if any changes in the OEM steelies in 3 years
Mazda Millenia wheels are 11 lbs each with 5 X 114.3mm bolt pattern and 15" X 6 measurements. Direct bolt on - will be my next mod on Friday!!!

New wheels aren't going to give you any extra horsepower. Ever. Zeroback....? Anyways, if you're expecting any straight line performance upgrades (assuming the tires are the same) you're going to be in for a surprise when nothing happens.
Are you talking about OE alloy wheels for $200...?
And yes, the 92-01 14" steelies should all be the same weight.

I know my steelies w/ Michelin wheels 195/70r14 were only 38lbs total. My 17s are more than that.. haven't checked how much more.. but once you get passed 15-16"s the weights of alloy wheels go wayyy up. Lightweight 15" alloys are the way to go if you're looking to take off weight at the wheels. It'll help MPG but will help acceleration so little you can't even tell
I know that when I went from my stock 14" steelies to my G35 17"s my acceleration went WAAAAAAAY DOOOOOWWWWN....It was terrible. I couldnt even get up to speeds that I could b4 on the highway....I mean I would have the pedal to the floor and the car would... not... go....

^Hahaa and what speeds would that be? I never WOT my camry.. I baby it But I didn't think the differenes were that dramatic.. how much did you wheel/tire combo weigh?
So with tires and air...I dont think an addtional 30lbs would be right...but I may be wrong....however compaired to the stock 14s These are heavy as hell....

Thats why I wish I could get some 17" or 18" Gramlights that weigh the same as stock steelies....they would have the width that I am looking for and the weight of the steeiles....and they look friggin awesome.......only thing is that they are expensive as hell...
