4th Generation size question

I have a gen 4 I4 and tomorrow I'm going to take the valve cover off and I'd rather have a socket for it? can't anybody confirm that it's 30mm? nobody really had any large size mm sockets and the only place that I saw that was relatively cheap was from sears:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...1&blockType=G1

unless anybody knows where to get a small socket set with sizes starting ranging from like 30+?

thanks

30mm is the correct size. You can rent a 30mm axle nut socket from Autozone (pn #27053...?) They also have 32, 34, and 36mm. I'm not a 100% sure if it will fit because the wall of those socket are a bit thick. But free is better than buying a tool you would use once in a while.

$7 for a large Craftmans socket isn't too bad but I'm not sure if they make 30+ socket sets.

30MM is correct. You could try Harbor Freight Tools for a 30MM socket or a set that includes 30MM, or even try Walmart. I purchased a Stanley Tool set there years ago that included the 30MM for around $10-$12. That was a few years ago so I don't know if they will still carry it.

I've got this set, and has worked fine for many years. This has the 30mm size for valve cover nuts, and the 30mm is also the size for the axle nuts as well. I haven't found a nut on my Camry this set won't crack.

But I've always wanted to get one of these.

I bought this http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...&blockType=G30, at Sears. There isn't a 30mm socket, but it's on sale 50% off, good deal. Also got a 3/8" torque wrench at Harbor Freight for $11.

You don't really need a socket SET of large size sockets. Just by the large ones one by one as needed... and I doubt you'll need more than this 30mm one. I'll recommended craftsman (sears) and kobalt (lowes) for in-home DIY mechanics due to their lifetime warranties.
