3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Well, I was working out in the garage and I was looking at my camry and I was at a cross roads..... It makes me sad that it is in the garage all winter and sits alone, also I feel that I may have hit the ceiling with this car for my mods list (there is more that could be done...so don't write it off as finished). The other thing I was wondering is if there is a TN enthusiast who would take up the reigns of this project....as parting it out would be purely insane (there are so many super rare parts on this car...Eengineer would know this feeling too well). I'm not hurting for $$$ so don't lump into that category....just putting it out there....to see what kind of interest there is in this critter
well, ballpark I'd say would need to be something to get me my next project (do not worry it will be a toyota)....I guess I am just fishing for interest....please mods don't lock me
Not really my style of modding... but it is clean! The interior color is.... I'd probably wait for a different car, or part this one if it was in my hands.

This is just my two cents but I will add it anyway since I am a little older than some on this board...
DO NOT GET RID OF THIS CAR for many, many reasons but I will touch on the main ones. How many hours do you think you have invested in planning, assembly, "doh" Homer Simpson moments of finding out that something didn't work out the say you wanted it to (not to mention the inverse feeling of having something else work out perfectly), and not to mention possible change of plans halfway through the build?
If you have reached a crossroads with this car - you should enjoy the fruits of your labor in my opinion. Keep it. Drive it. Show it off. A build of this level, although not exactly my cup of tea (but this is not my car, either) has taken so much energy and time (and money I'm sure) - IMHO you should admire your work and take pride in it.
I have started several car projects over the years and have completed even less due to lack of interest, funds, or a more catastrophic ending (unrepairable accidents). You have reached somewhat of a terminus with this one sure, but don't be so hasty to part with it - you'll be sorry!
For what it's worth - if it were my car (built to my tastes, that is) I would enjoy it for the next several years. Something with that much heart and soul poured into it should be the envy of another - if you DO decide to sell it - let that person come to YOU - not vice versa
