3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I put a set of new headlights in my 99 Camry a while back - purchased from ALL OEM Parts, Inc. The bulbs burn bright but the lens does not diffuse the light evenly, consequently produces poor night vision.
Anybody have a source for a quality headlamp unit?
Camry headlights just stink. I'd recommended cleaning the lenses if they're dirty and upgrading the bulbs if they're a generic brand.

I went thru so many bulb combinations that I wasn't happy with, I'm not really sure I would recommend going down that route... As long as you don't buy HIDs in the housing you currently have we are good! Have you considered a projector retrofit?

Honestly as bad as this sounds, I would probally just throw some 4300k cheap hid kit in there and see how it does. My friend had the same issue and he put a cheapo ebay HID kit in there and pointed the headlights down a tad and the results were amazing.
Silverlights and other halogen bulbs will cost the same as the kit but the halogen bubls tend to burn out quickly.

THOU SHALT NOT PUT AN HID KIT IN THINE NON-RETROFITTED HEADLIGHTS.

Headlamp lens are squeaky clean - look like new. Have put two different sets of bulbs, but same result - unevenly diffused light. Seems to me like the lens is causing the bulb light to be projected unevenly.
A thread suggestion was to put in an HID kit? Sorry - don't know what that is.
Headlights always project the passenger side light further than the driver side...this is so you do not blind the motorist in front of you...If you mean uneven by the distance of the light then only way to change that would be to do some sort of retro fit or install lights from a right hand drive vehicle....but if you go option 2...be prepared to get pulled over...
Edit: HID => High Intensity Discharge
a type of bulb which allows brighter light to show upon the road...also comes in different colors depending on the heat level...
