USA 1995 Toyota Camry Issue

Hi, my Camry's O/D off light is flashing while my check-engine light stays solid. On top of that my car isn't moving (unless I want to go in reverse). No matter how high the RPMs go my car only moves while in reverse. Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

Sounds like your clutches are blown or your torque converter is shot. Check the hydraulic pressure on the transmission in drive and see what the pressure reads.

Reverse has the highest pressure so that's why it moves in reverse

I don't own a pressure reader, is there another way to check it or am I going to have to go out and buy one?

Well considering that its not moving only in reverse I would say the torque converter is going bad or your pumps are going bad. You could try to pull the pan to inspect the magnets, but since you cant check for pressure i dont know what you should do?

Take it to a transmission shop I guess

You can connect TE1 and E1 terminals on the DLC and pull the codes since the O/D button is flashing. Post up what code your getting.

Make sure your transmission fluid is full (In neutral with parking brake engaged)

Check under and around transmission for transmission fluid

I hope you are not over-reving the engine, or you will be dealing with more than just a transmission problem.
