half shaft replacement

The CV joints are clicking on my 2000 4cyl Camry. I assume I will need to replace them soon. Does anyone know if these shafts have snap rings inside the differntial? I'm trying to decide if I want to this work myself.

The right one is a pain if your bearing is frozen/corroded in your carrier housing. I did that job on our 1997 Camry (4th Gen like your's) and made a tutorial of it here:

But there was no snap ring inside the differential, it just popped right out of the splined area it fits into.

Thank you both for your help!

ycartf - I know what you mean about a stuck bearing being a pain. I changed out the passenger side half shaft on my wife's highlander and had to use a torch and hammer to get the bearing out of the carrier. Not fun!
