I am gonna take my op from another forum and c/p it, never got an answer over there.

So after getting my car "repaired" at harris tire in churchland, shittiest place ever, my car seems to be in limp mode till it is 100% warmed up. They replaced the water pump, a remanufactured one even , thermostat(without my permission for their retarded price on it), a "motor mount"(the engine damper that was fine), and the timing belt to squeeze out more money from me. Would any of those things cause a problem or did they fuck something up? I am hoping they fucked something up, I like civil court.

By limp mode I mean it won't go above 15-1600 RPM and won't go past 2nd gear and sounds really strained like it is not in drive almost.
One suggestion was timing being off but I took it to the shop the next day and they said it was fine. Been doing this since the end of the july and its a bit annoying.

well first of all you shouldnt have taken a car to get repaired at a tire shop. lol.

Secondly, it sounds like they may have disconnected a plug somewhere and thats why its in limp mode. Since it wont go out of gear, i suspect something on the transmission is disconnected for some reason.

Is your check engine light on by chance?

Its not a tire shop specifically, they are a full service business that have been there as long, probably longer, as I've been alive(22 years).

No check engine light, would a plug not matter once it gets warmed up though? Thats the really weird part.

I did in the past have a check engine light for my rear o2 sensor but I cleared it because I couldn't fix it at that point in time. Would it not re-appear again?

This car is the definition of a lemon :o

EDIT: Just went to their site, they've been in business since 1972. But since I went there I only goto import specific shops lol

Oh , well you said harris tire so I assumed it was a tire shop.

So this problem only occurs when the car is warm?

It happens from cold start till it is up to its proper running temperature. When it is warmed up it drives perfect.
