Scraping noise from the rear when braking

Hi all,
I've been chasing a problem for a while now. A scraping/grinding metal to metal noise from the rear is heard when braking at very low speeds, especially in parking situations, moving back & forth slowly. The strange part is sometimes the sound is heard after the brakes are applied when the car is still moving a little back or forth from the momentum. The noise is not heard while the car is standing still & applying the brakes.

Things I have done is replaced the drums & pads, clean the contact areas, applied grease to proper locations. Any other suggestions to check for? Would a failed wheel cylinder caused the same noises heard?
Thanks.

I suspect that the backing plate behind where the drum sits (wheel cylinder attaches to) is bent, or has rust build up on it. Remove the drum inspect the inside lip of the drum.. also inspect the backing plate.

When I took everything apart to replace new drums & pads, I also sanded every rust spots from the backing plate that I could see. I didn't recall anything being bent, but i will check again this weekend. I've read somewhere that a failing wheel cylinder would cause the symptoms that I described. I tried to listen to the movement when i had a helper pumped the brakes continously when the vehicle was at a still. Everything seems to sound normal, I could hear the brakes expanding & retracting.

Anyone else had similar problem/symptoms?

Well if you jack the tire off the ground with the E-Brake off and spin the tire and listen for a noise you can pin-point it easier.

you might need to adjust it. It might be adjusted too tight that it's actually braking when its not.
Do what perkins said in post #4.
The adjustment is inside the console next to the e-brake lever
