which magnaflow exhaust for 96 v6 camry

which magnaflow would be best for my 96 camry le v6 1mz and with that what would be the best piping, 2.5 or 3"? if i get it done custom will that create any problems (obviously from a muffler place) I heard someone say something about crushing the pipe on the bends or something. i want speed and sound! (deep sound plz)

I've got 2.5" piping on my 89 Gen2 with the 3SFE engine. 2.5" piping should be perfect for your 1MZ. As for which magnaflow muffler to get i have a 5 in by 11 in oval universal muffler part # 14576. The sound is awesome, deep and mellow, no farty ricer sounds. When you do get your piping make sure its mandrel bent instead of the typical crush bent piping that is on your car stock. Crush bent sucks major ass. With the new 2.5" mandrel bent piping and the straight through muffler it'll sound sick. BTW you may want to get a magnaflow resonator to replace your stocker while you're re-working the exhaust. Hope this helps ya.

Any muffler magnaflow or otherwise will work.
2.5" any more and you'll loose too much back pressure.
Get mandrel bent pipe. regular bending pinches and or krimps. the pipe a bit narrower around the inside of the bend

when i got my exhaust put on, the guy told me i didnt need a new tailpipe, cuz the stock one was mandrel bent. i didnt believe him, so he let me touch the inside of the bend and it was smooth!

only thing is, the pipe had 2 grooves in it so it wouldnt rub the frame (or whatever it was... i dont remember).

then the pipe he fabricated to run the muffler to the tailpipe was crush bent

o well... ill prolly end up getting a magnaflow later on. if not ill get a dynomax. then ill be sure to take it to midas or something. u guys said they do mandrel, right?

2.5" piping is good for a V6.

No problems having something custom fabbed.

Since your from Sacramento, I recommend Muffler Tech. Their off of Florin Rd. across the street from the mall.
