Overheating

Im looking at buying a 1992 camry v6 off craigslist. Sell said that "
This car has 134,000 on it clean no rust, new tires brakes, runs and drives but overheats had a head gasket job done but it still runs hot only when you drive it. The car can idle for hours and never run hot until you drive it. I don't have the mechanical knowledge to fix it."

Anyone have any advice on why it will run normal at idle and then get hot?

Maybe a coolant circulation problem, an old plugged up radiator, failed radiator fan, faulty thermostat/radiator cap, or a failed head gasket job.

A nearly 20 year old car can have just about anything in need of replacement. It may need a radiator... or worse.

If you're familiar with engines and can do your own work, i'd say no problem and look into buying it. If you can't... stay away.
