Seat belt problem (turning loop bracket)

Hello

New member here. I have a 2000 Camry LE. The driver side 3 point seat belt recently became disengaged above my shoulder at the turning loop bracket mounted to the side wall. Much to my surprise, the nut backed out allowing the turning loop bracket to fall off. This is a serious safety issue to me. How do you get this back on? It looks like I need to take apart the trim cover on the side wall to get at that slider and screw it back on to turning loop bracket, this way I can keep the belt untangled. Or is there an easier way to fix this? It doesn't look like I can just screw this back on unless I remove the entire seat belt assembly . Can I just take apart the turning loop bracket cover? Any suggestions on how to go about this? TIA

before you start tearing into the assembly, call the dealer's service dept and find out what the warranty is on the seatbelt assembly.

i'm not understanding what exactly you're describing here but it sounds like the mounting bolt has come loose.. pull the reim over the bolt back and see if the bolt is in fact loose. if its loose, tighten it and recheck it.

Not a mounting bolt per se. It is the loop for the belt that attaches to the slider (for height) above your shoulder mounted to the frame. It has a bolt on the backside that screws into the sliding assembly on the frame between the front and rear doors. It backed out of the sliding assembly. See pictures from my cell phone. The lighting is not the best but you get the idea.

you should be able to pull the plastic cover off of the head of the bolt and retighten the bolt into the slider assembly
