im new to this, tryed search with no luck can some one please tell me or give me some links for a performace exhaust system, including muffeler, pipes cat convertor, and headers that will fit, please and thank you
you can either go custom: custom header, custom down pipe (with or without a cat of your choice), custom cat back (with or without resonators and mufflers of your choice)
usually people use magnaflow for their hi flow cat
vibrant for for resonators
magnaflow for mufflers
if you want already designed systems,
header/downpipe (some includes cat some doesn't) - rippmod, obx
cat back (usually 1 muffler and 2 resonators) - greddy evo2, megan racing drift, apexi something, fujitsubo legilis r, obxr
"axel" back (if you get a cat back, you don't need an axel back) - trd
MR2 Header w/ a custom Downpipe / Custom bent 2 1/4 strait pipe pipe from exhaust shop w/ a nice resonator/ HKS or APEXi N1 Muffler.....Awesome sound for the 5s....trust me....and I dont even have a resonator....sounds like an AE86

The Following User Says Thank You to jtex2717 For This Useful Post:
High flow = No torque. No resonator = raspy sound. Keep those two things in mind for the 5s-fe.

High Flow = No Low End Torque....+Highend Horsepower.....No Reso = Angry Neighbors +Awesome Engine Sound While driving....Only rasps when you are around 6k rpm or when the car is cold....Well...mine does anyways...

^ My feelings exactly. That's why I only put a new muffler on my old 5s-fe.

Yeah...you can have all the torque in the world but if you dont have any ponies to back it up then whats the point....you just want to run a 1/4 mile quicker...what about long runs?
I mean lets face it....not too many of us are running 1/4 miles these days...
I am one for equal ftlbs/whp now something that can get up to speed quick and keep pulling all the way to 140mph....now thats fun...but dropping off at 90mph...but getting up to speed quicker is a waste of a speedo.....

edit: and if u examine the function, having a flat torque of say 250 ft lbs will yield a max hp of more than any other torque curve that is not flat even though the peak of that non-flat torque curve is still 250 ft lbs
so if ur arguing that lots of hp is important, then what i said about flat torque actually produces the max hp lol
...so i dunno what ur arguing about
