Unhappy Timing Belt Damage

Hi, the timing belt is break in my Toyota Camry 1998. My question is: Are the valve damage?
Or The Toyota Camry have a system to protect this?

Ok, but I tried to Power in 3 times, what΄s up if tried to power on the car?

Both engines for the 1998 camry (the 1mz-fe V6 and the 5s-fe I4) are not interference engines. There should be no damage to the valve-train when a timing belt fails.

Just wanted to add; if you go to a mechanic, and they say there is valve damage after looking at the car, take your money (and car of course) and run before they do.

You can use this link to find out what car engines are interference fit engines and which, like your 98 Camry, are not interference fit engines.
