neutral safety switch 92 camry

alright so im having trouble removing the rest of the neutral safety switch. Unfortunately i broke off most of it and the end of the wiper arm is stuck on the shaft.

havent been able to pry it off and im worried about bending the shaft with too much prying. So any tips would be much appreciated.

Did you take the large nut off of the NSS before trying to remove it?? If not do that. If so, if you look at the NSS you will see 4 Notches in it. Grab a punch and pry them notches outwards. Then it will slide off. Dont worry about breaking it since the only thing left is that piece. lol

Its soft metal so it should break easily

Check this link out.

ya i looked at that post or another one similar. Already tried breaking the rest of the notches off and it still isnt slipping off the shaft.

Should i post a picture or just keep trying with vicegrips and brute force.

You could try a Dremel tool with a cut off wheel. Cut a slit length wise and then use an old fashion nut splitter. Or maybe even just the nut splitter will do it.
