hello everyone on tn im looking to buy a new set of rims im looking at getting 18*8.5 +40 offset will this be a good set of specs to be hella flush or have the rim justpoking out of the gaurd? i want to put some camber on it and slam it
here is the wheel in question http://www.rotaaustralia.com.au/rota...s_p1047410.htm

An 18x8.5 +40 will not clear coilovers in the rear of a gen 3. It will clear struts, but you won't be low enough to be "hellaflush" then.
Here is my gen 3 a couple years back on 18x8.5 +40 all around, with K-sport coils on the front and Tokico/H&R on the rear at the time of these pics.
Personally, if you truly want to do that sort of wheel fitment, I would try 18x9 +20 or lower. It's going to take some experimenting on your end to pull it off, though. Tire size is also a very important part of wheel fitment. Good luck!
Oh, and hold out for some nice wheels- won't be worth all the work for Rotas.
hey mate thanks for your input im currently running ksport coils allround aswell. i though have 18*9 with +20 would stick way out on a gen3 or is that for the rear wheels?
YOu should try 18x9 +25. Rolled your fenders and give it a little neg. camber. Some of my cars that i once threw wheels on that needed modifications to make it flush.
Heres my Wagon. 17x9 +35 rears. I had to add a 1/4 inch spacers to fit the wheels and i rolled the fenders.
My coupe with 17x9 +35 all around. i didnt needed spacers for the front, but i need it for the rears.
My sedan with 17x7.5 +25 all around. No Spacers needed but rear fenders need to be rolled. front had to be rolled cause i was too low but didnt need to if it was a little higher.

Lol that video was made out of boredom. 18x9 +25 would look better. and i believe you wont need any spacers to clear the shocks. after december, i will be trying out some new wheels. its going to be 18x10 +25 offset. i'll let you guys check it out once i do purchase it.

i test fitted some 18*9 with +25 the rear fits perfect but to me the front sticks to far out so i will be running 18*9 +35 front and 18*9 +25 rear i will be getting a set of rays re30s in formula silver http://www.nengun.com/rays/volk-racing-re30
so stay tuned
looking to push the back fender out more cause sidewall is still rubbing above the roll
and a desperate need for a front lip and lower front, tenzo springs all around
great numbers by 92camry, ill look for those specs when i move on to a new set of wheels.
btw DAMON, did you notice a slight more drop with addng the tokicos? im looking for a set of struts and wondering if it would add drop.

the tokicos drop slightly, i think it was like a 1/4 inch for me.

Cars looking good but need more drop. i thought with that setup, the rears would be popping out, but i guess i was wrong. try 9.5 for the rears.
if i put a 15mm spacer giving this rim a +20 offset it would poke out perfectly with the front. but the pull would follow on the topside above the fender line. i check the rubbing today.
heres another pic of the rear.
ill prolly switch the tire setup too. throw these on the front to shape with the front body line, while switching the rears to a 215 40 or 45 with 15mm spacer. i dont wanna introduce camber, i wanna try a stance where it follows a smooth body line along with the rims.
but that will be around a coulple $$$ later, cause i need a new setup besides ksports, d2 or jics (unless somebody donated them to me ). could a tokico and ground control system work for flush setups?
