Windshield wiper problem
Ok I have a 1998 Camry 2.2L. This started back in Nov. I was driving to school on a rainy day and so I had my wipers on, but then they stopped working....so as soon as I could I found a parking lot and stopped to check it out. No blown fuses. Later when I got home I took the plastic cover off where the wiper motor is. Cleaned the electrical conector, greased the moving parts. And for a short while it worked again. Then it froze in the down position just like it had before. At this point I was thinking a weak motor. So I ordered another one (ITT type). I installed it and it still doesnt work. But im not sure if theres a special way to install it. Like what angle all the linkage rods need to be at and what not. Also whenever I turn the car on the wipers twitch. And sometimes I will hear a noise like the motor wants to turn the wipers, even thought the switch is off. If someone could please help me I would greatly appreciate it.
