stiffer rear springs for wagon?

does anybody know of a stiffer rear spring for the wagon that retains the stock ride height?

I'm starting to invest in the parts needed to replace my struts /w bearing plate and some moog front end bits. the stock rear springs get over weighed pretty easily when i go on a big camping trip and have the car loaded.

I was thinking about getting the monroe quick strut /w sensatrac struts. i know others are better but i just want a setup like OEM.

Maybe the Eibach springs? Not the sport ones.... the OE ones.

the SE springs would likely be stiffer.

I think the OEM wagon springs are heavier duty than the sedan's / coupe's. You could install one of these to raise the height a bit -
Amazon Amazon

Let me know what you end up doing. I may want to replace my shocks / springs at some point. (Even though I have not had any problems yet with four people, boating gear, and 200 pounds in trailer tongue weight pushing down past the rear bumper....)

Was there ever a 'SE' wagon? Cool concept, that - I saw a SE-trim Sienna when on a part run to the dealer, and it looked nice for family truckster...

Sedan springs aren't appropriate - the wagon's got quite a bit more weight out back...

It's weird, the suspension doesnt seem to sag much in the rear but bottoms out over many bumps when loaded... i know part of this is struts but after looking under the car while loaded......it's almot bottomed out.

does that mr. gasket thing fit inside the spring and act as a second stage or stack with the spring and simply make it ride higher?

last year i cut down a bunch of trees hauled them out to the cabin inside the wagon! i cut the logs the same lenght as the back area of the car and stacked them to the ceiling. i put a thin piece of plywood on the carpet and then covered it in a tarp. the car weighed about 900 pounds more than with just me and a full tank in it. i drove it over a scale before and after.

the interior is in amazing shape after all these years. you'd never know such red-neck behavior happened in this car. these cars age amazing!

The wagon is definitely a hauler!
I believe those spring boosters go at the top of the spring (not between coils).
Have you tried the other coil boosters that go between the coils? They are cheap and easy to install, may be worth a try before you change the whole setup.

i haven't tried any type of spring booster.

I remember a while back when i was a kid my dad's f-150 had these "air bags" that looked just like the air donuts that big trucks use as springs. i wonder if i can do something like that on the wagon.

you can inflate those donuts to different pressures, i think goodyear made them. ill have to do research

That'd be hard to do with a strut type suspension - the bags typically go inside springs, and that's where the strut rod lives.

is the bottom out bumper located within the strut as well? if the bumper was on the arm and contacted the frame it maybe could be mounted there?
