first off, i would like to say merry xmas to all, an early one.......now on to the problem...
yesterday i started my car everything was fine, as i was driving down the road, the car decided to shut off by itself....luckily there wasnt any on coming traffic....but after it shuted off, i couldnt start the car back up.....i can hear it cranking up, but it just wont roll over....after many attempts the car started back up, and when in park, it stays on, but once i put it in drive, it'll go for ten feet then die.....and i have to restart the process again....and the car doesnt start that easily now too....
the check engine light didnt come on or anything...would using an obdII help diagonse the problem???
has anyone have this happen to them or are familiar with the problem here???
Get ready for another one of my completely unrelated stories.
I had someone come to me, their car was hard to start, and it wouldn't stay running. If you put it into drive it would die. They said that they had spent three days trying to figure it out. It had good spark, it had fuel pressure, the timing was correct, and the air filter was clean as new. I walked out took one look at it and knew the problem. Their wife had backed it into a snow bank and plugged the exhaust with snow. We both lolled.
But back on topic I would check the fuel pressure, and pull the cap off the distributer and check that the coil isn't cracked (v6 guys, the coil is under the cap same as the 3s/5s right?)
woow....first off thanks for the replies, but i do not know how to do or even check for all those things, i will be doing some research of how to do them....and DUDUTZU i have half a tank of gas left...and it was raining for the past few days here in sd...
does anyone know where the control valve is on the 3vzfe???....i know the gen 4 has theres right below the throttle b....
well i did a short quick cleaning of the tb, and did a sea foam...it starts, and seems like it is in working order for now...but still want to clean the control valve...read somewhere that that might be the problem...
