Vibration in '01 Camry

RE: Vibration on '01 Camry LE Sedan

As of the last few days, I've noticed that when my Camry idles that the steering wheel as well as the door (if I have it ajar) vibrate; seems like the idle is a little rough.

Any quick solutions to this problem?

Thank you.

Larry

If its never done it before, time for a tune up and cleaning.

Also try shifting from P or N into D or R. See if there is a bigger jolt than before. If so it's likely the mounts. The "dog bone" linking the engine to the right strut tower is easy to check. See if the rubber is cracked.

Bad plugs and wires can do this too. If it's not the mounts, then a tune up with new NGK Iridium-IX plugs and NGK spark plug wires may help. Check resistance on the coil packs too.

Definitely check plug/wires first- I had the same problem with my 94 V6 and it turned out the plugs had to be change... Another sign is a decrease in gas mileage if your actually recording/paying attention to it.
