3rd Generation Mystery Plug!

ok this has been driving nuts for weeks now. i have this white plug hanging by the radiator. one end is attached to the engine the area under the oil filter and to the left in a rubber boot type connection while another leads back to another electrical line.

Where did this plug into?!

here is a picture of the plug itself and one of where one end is attached

the rubber boot is to the right of the rusted bolt in the center.

if you need more info please don't hesitate to ask.

Looks like one of the fan connectors. Maybe a picture that's not so close up would help!

yeah, pics from farther distance would help
as Chris said, plug looks like fan connector ... but the other end seems like sitting in the exhaust manifold to me? need zoomed out pics...

do you have any trouble codes, CEL on? it would tell you exactly what that sensor is, because ECU complains about such stuff ... not to mention that if this is something crucial for Air-Fuel mixture then your car most likely runs in a limp mode (MPG affected).

No I have not had any CEL in a long time. not since alternator/radiator trouble -cel was zeroed out due to dead bat

Please does anyone have a 1992-1993 Camry V6 that can follow this wire to where it hooks up?

Brief history: two years ago brought the car down from Buffalo in order to go overseas . Left w/Dad who a monroe mech told him a slight tear in the fuel line above gas tank. I ok'd the repair but the same Mech also went ahead and said car needed a new exhuast pipe because old one was rusted.blah blah new crappy looking muffler when i returned. One year later new radiator. also early this year rebuilt alternator. From what I gathered 1992 Camry is not calif emission rated so no third o2 sensor. I've quadruple tested my fuel saving and i'm at 16mpg city. I'm wasting lots of money lately. but I don't see this being a o2 sensor since i can see both o2 sensors on the car already.

does the CEL blink like when you jumper diagnostic connector terminals or when you turn the IGN key to ON? your bulb might burned out.

16MPG in city only is quite normal for a V6, especially in Winter. I'm getting 12 MPG lol but I have trouble with front struts and possibly dragging caliper in FD wheel.

Thanks

I need to check on that CEL to be positive but I'm sure it does not blink. from what I gather since the last spring thru the summer and fall the mpg has been lowering. i know gas is expensive here on long island but even when it was 3.14 gal would still need to fill up at a under a quarter tank (sun-tuesday) thats not right.

Thanks for your response bro. I'll be sure to check the cel at start again.
