USA 98' XLE Front Right door Speaker BLOWN!!

I have a 1998 Camry XLE V6 and the right side DOOR speaker is blown. I want to replace both front speakers, but do I also have to replace the rear one too?

The existing tuner is Toyota factory, so I don’t really know what brand it is, or whether it would be compatible to use these speakers with it or not.

These new speakers are 2-way, 6.5”, Coaxial POLK-AUDIO…# DB651- 60 watt RMS, 180W Peak) Regular priced at $100.00 on sale for $49.00 @ Fry’s Electronics. Installation he said would start at $40.00 and up, depending how hard it is to get to each one.

ABOUT:
“The Polk Audio db Series works well in OEM factory systems, as well as with high-powered aftermarket head units and component power amps. The db Series delivers classic Polk Audio performance and durability like never before. The db651 to fit both 6-1/2 inch and 6-3/4 inch applications, ensuring an easy fit in everything from domestics to imports including VWs and Audis, BMWs and other European imports.”

Thank you for any info on these speakers

The should be a direct fit. Honestly, the only reason i'd replace more than one speaker is if you bought upgraded speakers in a PAIR. You want things to sound balanced from left to right.

6.5" SHOULD be the correct size for the front doors. And electronically, it's just two wires. No issues to worry about with the stock headunit.

If you want to do this job yourself... take a look at the DIY Sticky on the main page. There should be something there with instructions on how to remove the door panel. Maybe a window regulator replacement or a speaker install DIY.

What he said! Two wire hookup, make sure you match the polarity (+ to +, and - to -) on new and old speaker. 6.5's are a direct fit and the stock head unit will sound much better with an upgraded pair.
Your biggest worry would be removing the door panel! Careful or you'll break somthing!
