95 xle inside door handle replacement

I have the trim panel off and am ready to replace the inside door handle. I have read many tutorials, and they gloss over the part about removing the linkage from the handle. The linkage is inside a plastic clip that goes in but doesn't come out easily, and i don't want to break the clips. There has been a detailed explanation on this forum in the past, but the pictures are no longer active. Can someone please give a detailed step by step on getting the linkage rods free from the old handle?

It's very easy. The plastic clip is open on one end. Rotate that away from the linkage, then pop the linkage off. That's it.

Thanks for the reply. That is already way more info than is routinely described. I am not looking at the handle now since I replaced the panel while waiting to complete the task. My memory says the linkage ends in a right angle that inserts into the plastice clip. I remember the clip part that inserts into the handle is shaped like a one way arrowhead. Do I rotate at that point? Seems like the angle prevents rotation. Also, is it best to remove the linkage before unscrewing the handle? As you can tell, the specifics are still fuzzy to me.
