2001 Camry driver window

My 2001 Camry driver window is acting up lately. The window switch/button doesn't even respond from time to time. For example, the window will go down just fine but I get nothing when trying to raise it back up. I've had to stop the car and restart it to get the switch to respond.

Also, the motor seems to be making a deeper and louder noise when operating.

I'm looking for some advice as to what to purchase for replacement? Do I need the regulator and switch assembly? If I do indeed need a switch, will I have to buy the whole master/driver door assembly or can you purchase the driver door switch by itself?

Thanks, Eric.

I you can test the switch before replacing it if you have a multimeter that measures resistance. You check for continuity between the terminals when switched. If there is no continuity, replace the switch.

You Don't need to replace the entire door.

All you need is a good quality Regulator / motor assembly.

If your looking for a cheap replacement, look on ebay for " 97-01 Camry Window Regulator ". You'll find a bunch, but they don't last.

If you want it to last a long time, buy an OEM Toyota Regulator.

Also, Make sure to determine if your camry is Japan or Kentucky made.
