4th Generation 1999 Camry Driver Window Broken

I've done a lot of research and got bunches of instructions on how to remove door panel and redo regulator, motor, etc. Thanks to you......

What I need to know is simply....My driver window went down last night with no struggle, no noise, no grinding, ...and then would not come back up...Silent Death?

Can you help me with taking STEPS TO DIAGNOSE IF ITS MOTOR, REGULATOR, POSSIBLE FUSE?

THEN I can Utilize all the info I got off of this site.

Thanks in Advance.....Cajungirl[

to TN! Off the top of my head, I'd assume that the issue is probably in the wiring to the door, or in the switches themselves. That seems to be common. The copper inside the insulating rubbery/plastic of the wire can sometimes snap, or the entire wire can break. That's probably the most common thing. I'd check the wires running through the rubber boot that connects the door to the car. That's where they like to break.

Other may have some other ideas and tips.

Turn the headlights on and try the switch to raise the window. If the lights dim a little bit, you can probably assume that power is getting to the window regulator motor, and that the regulator's jammed up.

The #1 failure on '99 Camry P/W are the weak (made in mexico) motors.
You can very slowly get the window back up an inch at a time after setting 15min at a time.
The #2 failure was the window would go out of track on the front. You could see it as it came up to the outside mirror.
