25°F only about 1/4 warm

Ok on the way home tonight from a friends I drove about 6 miles mostly downhill costing around 25°F out, and the temp was only about 1/4 up from C. I've notice normal driving temp seems to be just blow 1/2. So do you think the thermostat is stuck open?

Does the temperature ever reach normally after a while? I'm almost 100% sure the thermostat is stuck open as you suggested. My father’s 1995 Quest has been stuck open for two years and it takes 15 minutes to fully warm up (needle at normal) Freezing to drive. Just drain the coolant, replace the thermostat with a new one (many recommend OEM) refill with coolant, turn on the heater, start the engine, check for leaks and temp, and top off if needed.

^ do what he said. yeah its your thermostat. i just replaced mine about 2 weeks ago. and note this to get the the bottom bolt that holds the thermostat housing in place you will prob have to take off the oil filter unless you have a fancy wrench of the sort. haha
