3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I thought it might be fun to start this thread so everyone can put it out there what their favorite aspects are of their Camry. Is it the fuel economy, body styling, handling, reliability?.............is it the quirks like why you can't put the auto Camrys in park when you have a McDonald's drink cup in the drivers cup holder, without removing it first . Is it the way your rear passengers hold their drink, look around and say"Aaaaa..........this car doesn't have rear cup holders ? Is it the way that your passengers stand with their hands on the door handles, waiting for you to unlock the doors......when you already gave the key two turns to the right (unlocking all doors at that point), and you're sitting in the car while they wait for you to hit the unlock button on the drivers door ? Is it the way the car just never seems to quit, just don't want to give up? Take a few minutes to write a few points. Thanks!.........If you want to share a story, please, go ahead!

I can just rest assured when my wife gets in it and drives away. (plus, she looks good in it too!)
I just like the sparkle of that met gray in the bright sun.
No food or drink for the back passengers! 'nuff said.

I used to borrow my V-6 LE, from my retired parents for driving at work, every time I broke my old (highly boosted) Mazda 626 Turbo touring sedan. It was like going from a Motel 6, to a four star hotel. When they decided to update to an 09 Camry, I just couldn't bear to see it go away. I love the cars amazing level of refinement and solid feeling. (even with 280k kms on it!) Heck, its' still quieter and smoother than the 09 Sienna the dealer drove me home in when I had the timing belt replaced!

I love the fact that i can drive it like i stole it and it still runs like i just bought it. A lot of my friends have nicer cars, but they are fixin their cars way more than i am.
the fact that it only cost me 600 bucks and was not properly maintained and will still probably get me 50,000 more miles without any worries! oh and its a wagon.

Reason: merged!
I love the reliability. I have had my Camry in the shop once or twice and both times were for minor things that didn't affect the day to day drive-ability. (Think old clunky strut.)
The fast food joint cup in the cup holder while in park... Classic! Most fast food cups don't even fit in the cup holders while in drive as the circles are too small.
The styling, mine is a 3rd Generation and it has a clean look to it. The fuel economy is about 25 mpg, can't complain for a V6 getting that.
The ride is smooth and the car feels spacious.
