Gen 4 Oil Dipstick Tube install???

It looks like a simple install but I wanted to make sure with those who have done it.
Most of the earlier year oil dipstick tubes don't require to be pressed in and have an oil o-ring to prevent any leaking; the Gen 4 one, on the other hand, requires to be pressed in.
So while the Gen 4 tube has to be "pressed" in, can I simply tap it in with a hammer?
I checked the repair manual and didn't find anything on installing this.
Any help would be appreciated!

I just greased it and tapped it in with a wooden block and a hammer. It only goes in so far, then stops, that's how far it goes haha.

Yeah, it only goes in about an inch, maybe less.
I guess I'm going to have to bend the dipstick handle a different direction. It's going to sit right between the compressor housing and oil filter lol
